Healing is not always immediate. It doesn’t always come with fireworks or dramatic moments. Sometimes, it’s a slow, quiet journey—a process that unfolds over weeks, months, or even years. But don’t mistake slow progress for no progress. Healing takes time, but it is happening.
When Jesus healed the blind man in Mark 8:22–25, the miracle didn’t happen instantly. The man first saw “people like trees walking.” Then Jesus touched him again, and his sight became clear. Why didn’t Jesus heal him all at once? Because sometimes healing comes in stages—layer by layer, moment by moment. And that’s not a lack of power—it’s a sign of personal, intentional love.
God knows exactly what you need. He’s not just healing your symptoms—He’s going to the root. He’s tending to the emotional, spiritual, and physical layers that need restoration. He’s healing not only what hurt you—but how it shaped you. That kind of deep healing doesn’t happen overnight.
Don’t get discouraged if you’re not “there” yet. Celebrate the small steps. Each day you choose to rise, pray, worship, and believe—you’re moving forward. Isaiah 40:31 says, “Those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.” Waiting on God is not passive—it’s a courageous decision to believe while you’re still in process.
Your wounds may be invisible, but God sees them. And He’s working behind the scenes. Psalm 147:3 says, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” That binding means He’s wrapping you in His care, covering your brokenness with compassion. Trust Him to finish what He started.
One day, you’ll look back and realize—healing was happening the whole time. And you’ll be stronger, wiser, softer, and more full of grace. So take heart. Your healing may be in progress, but it is on the way.
